This back-to-school season, discover a new way to read, explore, and play! Beginning August 10, Bexar County Parks & Recreationand BiblioTech are bringing StoryStrolls to five Bexar County parks, transforming favorite children’s books into interactive outdoor adventures.
A StoryStroll takes the pages of a children’s book and places them along a designated park trail. As families walk from sign to sign, they experience the story one page at a time while enjoying fresh air, nature, and quality time together. It’s a fun and engaging way to encourage children to build literacy skills, stay active, and connect with the outdoors.

As students head back to the classroom, StoryStrolls offer families an opportunity to keep the joy of reading alive beyond school walls. Best of all, featured books will rotate throughout the year, giving visitors fresh stories, new adventures, and plenty of reasons to return.
